The ministry of Development embraces the mission of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville: to search for truth, preach the Gospel and serve God's people. We invite others to share in these efforts by becoming Partners in Mission. In this way our partners enable us, through our many ministries, to touch the lives of the most vulnerable. In addition, these partnerships make it possible for us to provide for those Sisters who, by their lives of service, have sustained our Congregation and its mission.

The Dominican Sisters of Amityville have been serving the people of God for more than 150 years. Grounded in education, we have constantly identified and met the needs of ever-changing times. From building and staffing schools to building and staffing hospitals, to ministering in orphanages, camps, nursing homes and a day care center, we have shared our gifts with the community as preachers, teachers, pastoral associates, doctors, lawyers, nurses, administrators, social workers, artists, writers, and peace and justice coordinators. It is through your contributions that we have been able to do so much over the years; it is through your continued support that we can remain faithful to our mission to serve the people of God. And, your generosity also allows us to care for the many retired and infirm Sisters who have spent most of their lives creating a better life for all whom they have touched.
